I have lived in Portugal, Europe for about 16 years. I was not born there though, and only recently moved to my "mother-country" - Canada.  In my 16 years outside of the country, I became fluent in Portuguese and developed a sense of European culture that I still carry with me.

Writing has always been one of my big passions, one of the few things that fulfill my knowledge and life. I am always writing, whether for online content, for someone else or just for the sake of releasing information and knowledge onto paper and ink.

Currently I am an undergrad at Ryerson University, Toronto - Canada, pursuing my studies in Psychology. The human mind and behaviour has always been a deep interest of mine!

Meanwhile, I am raising a little girl which fills up my life quite a lot, and yet allows me to acknowledge the power I have, as a human being, mother and a woman, to accomplish much more than I ever thought I would or could!

I love to write about arts, social topics of all kinds, shapes and figures, and interesting, random topics. One of the things I love about the writing world is the research and the learning process behind every piece composed. Does not matter the size, big or small, 500 or 2000 words, every single piece requires some kind of learning factor.

While writing is one of my dearest passions, I like to learn about different things by experience. I have modeled for Osvaldo Sales, who I mention here in two of my hubs. Osvaldo is a brilliant artistic mind that inspires many. We have, together, organized events like Hear No Evil Art Show and Architectura (fashion show). Osvaldo has recently changed is business name to Birthia which you can read about on his blog www.birthia.wordpress.com.

Most recently I worked for Birthia in its latest production Photrospective - a photography exhibition. The first Photrospective exhibit happened this past May 27th, 2011, but due to its great success it is now an annual event, which means next year there’s more! I am also one of the 25 photographers promoted through Photrospective, and hope to continue with the Photrospective team for years to come.

Also this Summer of 2011 (which is coming to an end) I became one of the newest organizing members of StArt Youth Presenting Art  - a festival by youth for youth, showcasing the young talent of Scarborough, ON.  Start YPA (for short) is also a past event for now, which occurred from August 9th to August 13th, 2011. It featured workshops in various realms of the visual, spoken and performing arts, all of which offered to the youth of Scarborough and GTA for free. It gave youth the opportunity to not only learn from respected professionals in the fields, but also allowed youth to put together their own visual exhibits and perform for the general public. It was another great success initiated by SuiteLife and fortunately will also have an annual recurrence. For more information you check out their website or go their Facebook page – www.facebook.com/StArtYPA

These are my many passions, my little girl and my husband, Psychology, writing, photography and learning from what life has to teach me. I love to take part in artistic events and giving back to the community, by promoting awareness of the artistic talents hidden in the corners of the GTA, ON.

I have just recently re-opened a long forgotten blog of mine, which I am rearranging and giving a little facelift. So if you want to find out what I am up to you can always check it out – www.RonnyAlmeida.wordpress.com.

Sincerely,

Ronny Almeida
